Suppliers at RWE

Our suppliers have an important role to play in helping us to achieve the leading position in the energy market. This is why we aim to work with the best and strongest suppliers in order to achieve this goal. In this, quality, reliability and cost effectiveness are vital. We aim to work with our suppliers to optimise the supply chain in order to secure clear advantages over the competition.

This means we are always interested in working with new commercial partners for the further development and optimisation of our supplier portfolio.

The RWE code of conduct is an important component in this. We make a conscious choice to avoid working with suppliers if it is generally known that they do not observe the principles of the United Nations Global Compact. In our business relations, we are also committed to ensuring continued compliance with the Global Compact by companies and particularly by suppliers.

RWE Procurement Nederland combines and processes all the requirements of RWE companies, with the exception of fuel procurement and the realisation of new-build projects. Key areas of focus include strategic and operational management and implementation of procurement activities and the standardisation of operational processes. 

In addition to RWE Procurement we also have the procurement organisation RWE Projectinkoop (RWE Project Procurement). This concentrates on the construction of new electricity power plants with various energy sources.
