Health & Safety

Our MISSION is ZERO

Our MISSION is ZERO

‘MISSION ZERO’ is the name of the RWE Generation programme that helps us to improve our safety performance. The programme was introduced in 2019 and is regularly updated, expanded and continuously communicated internally. The campaign is also an inevitable element for contractors when carrying out works.

We respect the people who work for us

We are unable to accept anything less than ensuring that the people who work for us, either from external companies or our own staff, are able to go home healthy to their nearest and dearest at the end of the working day. We work safely or not at all. There is no other option. We firmly believe that every incident, whether large or small, is entirely preventable because that is our mission: zero incidents. That is Mission Zero.

A company that has its safety in order performs better. Good HSE is good business.

Our ambition is to be the best energy production company

How will we achieve that? By fulfilling our agreements, without deviating from them. Everyone will be familiar with the rules and procedures and abide by them. And by making safety simple, by making our procedures simpler and clearer.

12 Life-Saving Rules

As such, we have summarised the most important safety rules in 12 life-saving rules. You must abide by these 12 rules at all times wherever you might be. It’s as simple as that.

Watch this video to see how simple and obvious they are.

Behaviours

Another way in which Mission Zero is implemented are the four Behaviours.

Our principles at RWE

Good examples and initiatives in the field of safety are appreciated, as non-compliance with rules and agreements has consequences. This ensures greater clarity and, in particular, a higher level of safety.

The aim:

  • ZERO - injuries for our employees, contractors and visitors
  • ZERO - excuses for unsafe behaviour
  • ZERO - impact for our families & communities
  • ZERO - compromises on life-saving rules

We want to achieve ZERO incidents: Mission Zero.
