Company information
RWE Renewables Benelux B.V.

RWE Renewables Benelux develops, builds and operates wind and solar parks in this region. The business unit has seven operational wind farms with a total installed capacity of 287 megawatts. In addition, more than 115 megawatts are under construction, divided over four wind farms. All wind farms are located on Dutch soil, where the company is keen to cooperate and integrate a wind farm into the surrounding area. The first groundbased solar farm is under construction in Kerkrade. Besides onshore wind, RWE is committed to developing offshore wind farms. For example, the company participates in the Thornton Bank wind farm off the Belgian coast.
RWE Generation NL

At five locations in the Netherlands, RWE Generation NL produces electricity from natural gas, biomass and coal for millions of households and businesses. The large power plants are always available regardless of seasonal or weather conditions and absorb the highs and lows in the sustainable production of wind and solar energy. By replacing coal with sustainable biomass (wood pellets), we also contribute to the expansion of sustainable energy production in the Netherlands.
