Education

RWE plays an important role in the energy transition in the Netherlands. With a clear focus on renewable energy, we are a strong partner on the road to a green future. But climate protection and the energy transition can only succeed if the continuity of energy supply is also guaranteed in the future. That’s why we invest in education about the energy transition and all the technology involved.

RWE provides programmes at various universities, HBO’s and MBO colleges . We actively cooperate with educational institutions of all levels throughout the Netherlands. Through these partnerships, future employees are equipped with the necessary knowledge and skills to make the energy transition possible.

Examples

In the North of the Netherlands, there are various collaborations and programmes with Energiehub050, Mission H2, and with Hanze and RUG. For MBO colleges (Noorderpoortcollege and Alphacollege), teaching programmes are being developed.

OranjeWind Knowledge

OranjeWind is the offshore wind farm being developed off the Dutch coast in the coming years. Within this project, OranjeWind Knowledge plays an important role: sharing knowledge about offshore activities via various programmes and resources such as masters, podcasts and masterclasses.

All levels and ages

It is never too early to inspire young people to get into technology and the energy transition. That is why we increasingly try to get involved at primary school level as well.

In this way, we try to engage the new generation in the energy transition which is so important for their future.

Societal role

In addition to this technical substantive support for education at various levels, RWE also supports social and community projects via the RWE Foundation.
