Marinus Tabak: “An optimistic debate is needed for the energy transition”
As Europe's largest private power producer, RWE is keen to play an important role in the energy transition, also in the Netherlands. That is why we invest significantly in renewable energy and innovative solutions such as battery storage, e-boilers and floating solar panels at sea.
In New Business Radio's one-hour radio programme Let's Talk Business, our Country Chair Marinus talks about this. Naturally, it's about RWE's business in the Netherlands, but mainly about the personal vision and ambitions of Marinus, who, in addition to being Country Chair, has also been Chief Operating Officer (COO) at RWE Generation since 1 April 2024.
During the broadcast, under the enthusiastic guidance of presenter Martine Hauwert, Marinus looks back on his career at RWE so far, looks ahead to what the company and he will be dealing with in the coming years and shares personal experiences. For instance, we hear what keeps him awake and he talks about his relationship with politics. Positive and optimistic as Marinus is, he speaks highly of the energy transition in the Netherlands. He thinks we are on the right track, although he does believe that, above all, we need to keep talking to each other. "An optimistic debate is needed for the energy transition," he points out.
