RWE has recently invited a group of talented in-house students to an in-house day, welcoming them at the Zuidwester wind farm in Urk for a tour. During the tour, they learned more about about RWE's energy portfolio, our history and our vision for the future.

Case study

The students also got to work on a case study revolving around the construction of a large solar farm, for which they had to factor in technical and economic aspects, as well as grid congestion, ecology and local stakeholders such as the owners of the land on which the solar farm will be built.

The Energy Talent community consists of students from several Dutch universities pursuing energy-related Master's programmes. As part of this community, they are building a network of energy professionals dedicated to innovative solutions for the energy transition.

Bas Jansen, OranjeWind Knowledge Programme Manager: “Lifting the curtain of the world of renewable energy for these enthusiastic Energy students was incredibly rewarding. The students asked critical questions, shared creative ideas, and hopefully gained a lot of inspiration."
