RWE joins pilot of Smart Energy Delivery Lab Training course
Avans University of Applied Sciences has developed a Smart Energy Lab Training course as part of the Smart Energy Delivery Lab (SEnD Lab). During a short but intensive learning process, participants build a solid foundation to get started with the energy transition. In the pilot, RWE contributed its expertise to help fine-tune the curriculum.
Preparing the labour market for energy transition
Avans University of Applied Sciences' Smart Energy Delivery Lab (SEnD Lab) will host Lab Training courses to prepare future engineers for the energy transition. The courses will consist of several modules, covering topics ranging from how power plants work, PV systems, and battery storage, to wind turbines, energy distribution and grid security.
Smart simulations
The SenD Lab’s Lucas Nülle Smart Grid training system gives users the chance to undergo hands-on training in and practise with the full system of electricity generation, transmission and distribution. The system is capable of running simulations at various levels, ranging from a smart grid for a single residential area to a full European power grid.
RWE took part in a pilot for this training course in June 2023 with the aim of fine-tuning the curriculum, contributing its expertise in the entire energy system.
