Wind farm Sabinapolder is located just south of the Volkerak locks, between fort Sabina and the port of Dintelmond. The first generation of wind turbines, seven in number, were installed here in 1995. In 2009, these were replaced by eight new wind turbines, each with a capacity of 0.85 megawatts (MW).
