The Linne hydropower station is located next to the Rijkswaterstaat barrage, just a few kilometres from the Claus power plant. The unit is operated from the Claus power plant.
The hydropower plant has four horizontal, double-controlled Kaplan turbines. This means that the water is optimally directed through the flow channel by means of adjustable blades. The blades of the paddle wheel are also adjustable to optimize the water flow. The diameter of each paddle wheel is four metres.
For migrating fish species, a fish ladder has been built with seventeen steps to bridge the difference in height of approximately four metres over a length of 215 metres.
